Focke-Wulf Fw 200 C-3 Construction Record

The Fw 200 C-3 Construction Record by Kazu Fukuda is now available in both Japanese and English.

This record follows the making of a large four-engined aircraft model through material cutting, interior work, nacelles, engines, propellers, bombs, painting, markings, final assembly, and completion.

The original materials were not arranged in a simple chronological sequence. In this archive, the record has been reconstructed as far as possible according to confirmed dates and the flow of the construction process.

この記録では、大型多発機の制作過程を、材料取り、胴体内部、ナセル、エンジン、プロペラ、爆弾、塗装、マーキング、最終組立、完成へとたどることができます。

元資料は単純な時系列では整理されていなかったため、本アーカイブでは、確認できる日付と工程の流れにもとづいて、可能な限り時系列に沿って再構成しています。

The reading pages are interpretive essays based on the construction records.

The aim of this archive is not simply to display completed models.

It preserves the process of making: how materials were selected, how forms were shaped, how problems were found, how corrections were made, and how a convincing final form emerged.
