The frame and tires of the float trolley were painted and assembled. The part on the right is a temporary tail wheel to be attached to the rear of the float.

The wooden pads that directly support the floats are only temporarily placed on the frame at this stage.

After the floats are finally fixed to the main body, the model will be placed on the wooden pads temporarily set on the trolley. The wooden pads will then be glued to the frame.

This is done in order to match the distance between the left and right pads exactly to the distance between the two floats.

For the floats, I drilled holes in a scrap piece of wood and inserted the struts into them for support, then sprayed the underside color, RLM 65.

The underside color, RLM 65, was sprayed.

The main body is held in the left hand with an awl inserted into the engine nacelle area. A divider was inserted into the horizontal tailplane as a support.

The unit emblem of the 2nd Staffel of Küstenfliegergruppe 506 was drawn on the nose. It is a stylized mark of a swan flying over a Nordic fjord.

The triangular marking indicating the use of 87-octane gasoline was also drawn.

These markings were drawn with a fine brush, and required considerable concentration.

As with the national markings and unit code, these markings were also masked with cellophane tape.

After this, painting can finally begin.

This shows the state after the sprayed white paint had dried and the masking was removed. The Balkenkreuz and swastika markings have appeared clearly.

The blue base color for the unit emblem has already been sprayed on the nose.

After the black paint dried, preparation began for adding the white borders of the national markings.

First, strips of cellophane tape with reduced adhesive strength were applied to the specified positions on the wings, vertical tail, and fuselage.

Next, a template was used to mark the areas to be cut out for the white paint. These were then carefully cut out with a design knife.

The fuselage unit code letters and number, S, 4, and K, were prepared in the same way as the earlier F, cut from cellophane tape and applied to the specified positions.

Next, black paint was sprayed broadly over the positions where the national markings and unit codes would be applied on the wings, fuselage, and vertical tail.

Before painting the main body, the national markings and unit code were prepared.

Since this model will be finished as an aircraft of Küstenfliegergruppe 506, the fuselage unit code is S4+FK. The letter F is red, so red paint was first sprayed at the specified position.

After the red paint dried, cellophane tape with reduced adhesive strength was applied to a suitable plastic sheet.

Using a template, the letter F was marked out and then carefully cut with a design knife. The cut-out F was then applied to the specified position on the fuselage.
