Yasuichi Takami was a master cabinetmaker whose solid models embodied precision, restraint, and enduring elegance. Favoring naval aviation subjects, he produced numerous works depicting aircraft of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. Readers came to recognize his models by their crisp lines, well-judged proportions, and softly evocative presence—qualities that distinguished his output and quietly influenced many peers.
