~~NOTOC~~ ====== 4-3 Accessories: Canopy ====== The canopy of the late-production Fw190D-9 was the bulged Galland-Haube type. This canopy was made by heat-pressing a PVC sheet over a wooden mold prepared for heat forming. The window frame portions are left intact, and the transparent sections are masked with cellophane tape. ^ {{:ja:authors:fukuda-kazu:fw190-d9:04_accessories:1_28_10_21_5_30_45.jpeg?direct&400|}} ^ | Fig. 4-3-1 Canopy mold and heat-pressed canopy | Editor’s Note (H): //The black lines drawn on the canopy indicate where masking tape has been applied. The tape is normally applied in two overlapping layers; after priming and sanding, one layer is removed before the final topcoat is applied.// ---- The Galland-Haube canopy is temporarily fitted on top of the armored headrest support frame. ^ {{:ja:authors:fukuda-kazu:fw190-d9:03_mockup:1_27_10_21_5_33_04.jpeg?direct&400|}} ^ | Fig. 4-3-2 Temporary fitting | ---- {{page>en:authors:fukuda-kazu:fw190-d9:_nav&noheader&inline}}
